Humanizing Artificial Intelligence

Intro

Most people think AI tools like ChatGPT just “know stuff.”

But that’s not really how they work.

LLMs don’t have thoughts or opinions. They respond to us based on patterns they see in our input.

Which means - the quality of what you get depends on the quality of what you give.

That is - if you give garbage input, you’ll usually get garbage output.

With LLMs, the input is your prompt.

Think of a prompt as a conversation starter with AI. It’s the same as a conversation starter with a human.

If you’re clear, you’ll have a better conversation.

If you’re vague, unclear, or don’t provide context - the conversation will probably be a mess.

Prompting is the skill of getting the most out of your AI partner. It’s not just about what you ask, but how you ask it.

A good prompt can:

  • Give you clear - more relevant results
  • Save time by reducing back-and-forth
  • Help you think more clearly by structuring your ask

In this course, you’ll learn what makes a prompt work, what trips people up, and how to guide AI responses more intentionally - whether you’re brainstorming, solving problems, or building something new.
